Samba Care is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team in Pikeville, Kentucky.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Interventional Radiology Technologist to work with our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing examination rooms, administering radiopharmaceuticals, positioning patients and equipment, and monitoring patients during examinations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare examination rooms for patient examinations and ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images and monitor patients during examinations.
- Position patients and equipment, explain procedures, and ensure patients' comfort and safety.
- Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences and monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast.
- Monitor patients during examinations, ensure their safety, and follow procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
- Produce diagnostic images, report important information to the Physician, and update patients' records.
- Organize daily procedure schedules for emergencies and monitor radiographic supplies.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
