We are currently in search of a Quality Assurance Inspector for our operations. The responsibilities associated with this role encompass a wide range of quality-related tasks aimed at upholding and enhancing the quality standards within the Aery Quality Management System (AQMS).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections, audits, and various quality-related activities to support the company's quality objectives.
  • Interpret technical drawings and work instructions to understand quality expectations for products and services.
  • Perform incoming inspections for materials and components supplied by vendors.
  • Ensure inspections are executed correctly and that all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
  • Carry out initial, in-process, RII, and final inspections for materials, components, products, and services produced.
  • Execute periodic internal and external quality audits as assigned by the Quality Manager.
  • Oversee the safe use of equipment and tools, ensuring they are calibrated as required.
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to safeguard customer requirements and specifications throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Issue Certificates of Conformity, Return To Service, and other necessary approvals in compliance with agreements and regulatory standards.
  • Generate Discrepant Material Reports (DMR) for any materials with issues identified during inspections.
  • Assist the Quality Manager in gathering data to generate quality metrics and identify trends for enhancing cost, quality, and schedule performance.
  • Process Product Nonconformity Reports (PNR) as directed by the Quality Manager.
  • Contribute to the improvement of quality processes and procedures with a proactive approach.
  • Maintain and update approved vendor information.

Qualifications:

  • At least three (3) years of experience as an aviation inspector.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of practical experience in a maintenance repair organization.
  • Demonstrated experience as a quality inspector or relevant technical experience in aviation.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20% travel may be required).
  • Must exhibit responsibility and trustworthiness, with the ability to make decisions under pressure and articulate the rationale behind those decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies, including inspection tools and techniques.
  • Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail and a practical approach to problem-solving and corrective actions.
  • High School Diploma required; A&P License preferred.
  • Familiarity with 14 CFR parts 21, 25, 43, 65, 91, 135, 145, Form 337, Major Alterations, and STC projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure follow-through with stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English, with the ability to effectively convey information to stakeholders.
  • Capability to read, interpret, and apply instructions from technical documents, schematics, maintenance manuals, and regulatory requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an ISO 9001:2015 Inspector/Auditor.
  • Experience in a Part 145 Repair Station.
  • Experience supporting NAVAIR and other government contracts.
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) is a plus.
  • BS Degree in a technical field or equivalent level of education.
