We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at a correctional facility in Eloy, AZ.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for providing basic nursing duties, including executing physician orders, operating pill call, and assisting the physician in examinations and treatments.
Responsibilities:- Perform basic nursing duties, including executing physician orders and operating pill call.
- Assist the physician in examinations and treatments, and perform technical/clinical procedures within the scope of their license.
- Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
- Attend sick call with the physician to see inmates/residents, prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined, and prepare examining room and equipment.
- Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and/or procedures.
- Control medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment, and inventory as required by established procedures.
- Perform emergency procedures as needed, and keep equipment and work area clean.
- Document and report activities in accordance with established policies and/or procedures, including medical file documentation.
- Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Must be licensed in the state of employment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
