Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy services to clients following a physician's care plan and in accordance with state regulations.
  • Guide, advise, and educate clients, their families, and other staff on effective treatment methods and supportive activities.
  • Assist healthcare providers in assessing patient functionality.
  • Contribute to the formulation of individualized care plans.
  • Document clinical and progress notes accurately.
  • Translate therapeutic exercises into practical daily living activities.
  • Design necessary modifications for equipment and the home environment of clients.
  • Regularly communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient progress and report on physical and emotional responses to treatment.
  • Clarify treatment implications to clients and their families, aligning with the provider's intentions.
  • Offer families information and encouragement to foster motivation in their recovery journey.
  • Prepare and submit summaries of clinical progress based on goal achievement.
  • Oversee physical therapy assistants in accordance with organizational policies and state laws.
  • Maintain precise clinical records, tracking client goals and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or relevant accrediting bodies.
  • Valid physical therapy license in the state of practice.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in an acute care setting or equivalent.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and appropriate vehicle insurance are necessary.
