Job Summary:

Emory Healthcare is seeking a skilled Dosimetrist to join our team. As a Dosimetrist, you will play a critical role in designing treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy. Your expertise will ensure that patients receive the most effective and safe treatment possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design treatment plans using computer and/or manual computation to deliver a prescribed radiation dose and spare critical structures in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist's prescription.

• Provide assistance and technical support to the Medical Physicist in radiation safety and protection, qualitative machine calibrations, and quality assurance of treatment plans and radiation oncology equipment.

• Utilize radiation monitoring devices to measure radioactivity and perform assays.

• Teach applied aspects of medical dosimetry to students, radiation therapists, and residents, and participate in clinical research and continuing education.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited medical dosimetry program with board certification required within the first three years of hire.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
