Electrophysiology Technician Job Description

Magnet Medical is seeking a highly skilled Electrophysiology Technician to join our team in Missoula, Montana.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Electrophysiology Technician to assist our medical team in providing high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and possess a strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist electrophysiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures such as electrophysiology studies, catheter ablations, pacemaker and ICD insertions, and cardiac mapping.
  • Handle and operate specialized equipment, including 3D mapping systems, electrophysiology catheters, electrical stimulator devices, and cardiac imaging systems.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs during procedures and report any changes or abnormalities to the physician.
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by the physician.
  • Provide post-procedure instructions to patients and their families.
  • Maintain electrophysiology equipment and troubleshoot any issues that may arise during procedures.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or certification preferred.
  • Experience working as an Electrophysiology Technician or related field.
  • Strong understanding of electrophysiology procedures and equipment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure and maintain composure in fast-paced environment.
