Part-Time Paramedic

The City of Pharr is hiring a qualified Part-Time EMT - Advanced to join our team. As a valuable member of our Emergency Medical Services Department, you will contribute to the overall mission of providing exceptional emergency medical care.

You will be responsible for operating ambulance equipment, navigating emergency medical vehicles within your designated area, and responding to accidents and transporting patients to medical facilities according to Regional Advisory Council Guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating ambulance equipment and responding to radio transmissions
• Providing medical care and transporting patients to medical facilities
• Employing basic and advanced treatments, including first aid, CPR, and administering injections or oxygen

Requirements:

• Knowledge of administrative and medical procedures
• Effective communication skills, including articulation of information so that others can comprehend
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and handle high stress levels
