About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Software Development: Develop and maintain Axiom code, ensuring it is readable, performing, and supportable.
  • Scripting and Automation: Develop and maintain Autosys, Unix, and Perl scripts to automate tasks and improve efficiency.
  • Database Development: Develop and review PL/SQL code to support data sourcing into Axiom.
  • Requirements Gathering: Review FRD documents to ensure functional requirements are well understood.
  • Performance Tuning: Review PL/SQL codes to handle performance tuning exercises.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Prepare and execute detailed unit test cases.
  • Implementation and Support: Coordinate implementation, including packaging of code and obtaining required approvals, and provide BAU and post-implementation support.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience: 8+ years of development experience with IT, 8+ years of hands-on experience developing Oracle databases designed to support reporting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Oracle Expertise: Solid understanding of Oracle 10/11g from a development perspective
  • Programming Skills: Expertise in SQL and PL/SQL
  • Axiom Experience: Prior experience with Axiom
  • BI Reporting Tools: Prior experience with BI reporting tool packages
  • Unix/Linux: Unix/Linux command line interface and shell scripting
  • Technical Writing: Ability to write technical design documents, adhering to firm standards
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to foster working relationships with all stakeholders
  • Financial Products: Knowledge of financial products
