Dispatcher & Social Media Coordinator

Snow Goose Transit, a non-profit organization, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Dispatcher & Social Media Coordinator. This part-time position will assist the SGT manager in providing reliable and safe transportation services to those with disabilities, older adults, and low-income families.

Dispatching:

• Maintain office equipment, answer phones, and relay information to all staff.
• Inventory driver equipment and update status boards daily.
• Maintain regular contact with drivers, update changes to the passenger manifest, and collect daily logs from drivers.
• Input route information into quarterly reports and track schedules for accuracy.
• Fill out request paperwork for deviations and receive emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Monitor route statistical information and report discrepancies to the SGT manager.
• Conduct research to implement deviations into the daily manifest in accordance with SGT policies.
• Prepare passenger manifests for drivers by the end of each shift.

Social Media:

• Maintain SGT's social media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram.
• Engage with customers and followers on social media and work with the manager to develop a social media strategy.
• Observe and respond to social media trends and create live content when needed.
• Produce and distribute monthly newsletters and maintain the SGT website and email address.

Strong organizational skills and experience maintaining files and preparing correspondence are essential. Experience with social media platforms, website maintenance, and MailChimp is preferred but not required. The ability to handle large amounts of data, adapt to a changing environment, and relate to people of diverse backgrounds is also necessary. A valid Washington State Driver's License is required.

Frequent standing, walking, and sitting are required, as well as the ability to use a computer and see color. Lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds is also necessary. A drug screening, including marijuana and opioid, and a Federal Background Check are required. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a valid religious or medical reason for not being vaccinated is also required.
