Child Development Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Child Development Specialist to join our team at Perkins' Playhouse & Learning Center Inc. This is a full-time position, with the possibility of part-time opportunities available.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of children aged 5 to 12 years old, through age-appropriate activities and field trips.

With a focus on creating a supportive learning environment, the ideal candidate will have experience in Early Childhood Education, preferably with a Career Pathway Level II or higher through OCCRRA.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $50,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development of children aged 5 to 12 years old
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and field trips
  • Collaborate with other educators to ensure seamless transitions and comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Experience in working with children aged 5 to 12 years old
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
