About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Election Day Coordinator to join our team in Lancaster, SC.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Arriving at the polls on time and being prepared to start work immediately;
  • Processing voters efficiently and accurately;
  • Issuing ballots to voters as needed;
  • Providing excellent customer service and answering any questions that voters may have;
  • Conducting the election in compliance with South Carolina election laws;
  • Operating voting machines with ease;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

  • Be registered to vote or be at least 16 years old;
  • Commit to training and attending all required sessions;
  • Work the entire election day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm;
  • Remain non-partisan and neutral throughout the election process;
What You Should Know

This is a part-time position that requires a strong commitment to serving the community. The polls open at 7:00 am and close at 7:00 pm. As an Election Day Coordinator, you will be expected to stay focused and attentive throughout the day. In order to work, you will need to complete a training session that will prepare you for the election day responsibilities. This training typically lasts around 2 hours and is scheduled by the Voter Registration office prior to the election.

Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $120 per day, paid hourly. This is a competitive rate for the local area.
