Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at The Fresh Grocer. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and seamless supply of necessary equipment to serve our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort and Rinse: Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, and cooking utensils both by hand and by utilizing the dishwashing machine.
- Stack and Deliver: Sort and stack clean dishes, and carry them to the cook's line and other proper storage areas.
- Sanitation and Cleaning: Set up or break down the dishwashing area while following sanitation guidelines, and maintain the dish room and dish machine in a sanitary and efficient manner.
- Additional Duties: Mop, sweep, clean bathrooms, equipment, and garbage removal, as well as assemble and disassemble the dish machine.
- Communication: Communicate with coworkers and management to solve problems and improve quality and service.
Requirements:
- Team Player: A hard worker who thrives in a busy environment and is a team player looking to help streamline processes and procedures.
- Knowledge and Skills: A general knowledge of how to safely handle knives, hand tools, utensils, and all standard commercial kitchen equipment, as well as an understanding of chemicals and sanitizing products used in kitchen sanitation.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds several times throughout their shift, and work varied hours/days as dictated by business.
