About the Role

Salem Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in the SH NICU department. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Observe and report any patient condition changes to the Primary Nurse
  • Complete personal care on each patient as assigned or directed by plan of care and policies and procedures
  • Encourage a balance between rest and activity as appropriate for the patient
  • Reinforce patient teaching with activities of daily living
  • Document pertinent patient information concisely and legibly using acceptable medical terminology and abbreviation
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment for patients and self
  • Accept a variety of patient care assignments and floats to other units as directed

Requirements
  • Currently certified in the State of Oregon to practice as a CNA required
  • CNA II certification within 6-months from date of hire required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Recent experience in acute care setting
