Travel Operating Room RN Job Description

Jedy Network is seeking a skilled Travel Operating Room RN to join our team in Rochester, NY. As a Travel Operating Room RN, you will have the opportunity to work in various healthcare facilities, collaborating with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care during surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare professionals to ensure proper patient care during surgical procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile and safe environment in the operating room.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with anesthesia as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on post-surgery care and recovery.
  • Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an Operating Room RN.
  • Experience in specific service lines such as Ortho, Thoracic, Vascular, Neuro, and robotic.
  • Valid RN license in the state of New York.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Expected to work every other weekend.
  • Does NOT accept local candidates within a 50-mile radius.
