Job Summary
This Professional Geologist position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on geotechnical field investigation and instrumentation monitoring. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of site characterization, remedial investigations, remedial design, and hydrogeologic modeling.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assist with the deployment of instrumentation used to monitor landslides and analysis of ground movement data;
  • Conduct dam safety inspections and environmental water quality sampling;
  • Develop geologic models using EVS or Leapfrog to support site conceptualization, plume visualization, and groundwater modeling;
  • Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals;
  • Manage written document production;
  • Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties;
  • Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability;
  • Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan;
  • Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors;
  • Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing;

Education and Licensure
A Bachelor's degree in environmental science, earth science (geology or hydrology), environmental, civil, or chemical engineering is required. An advanced degree in geology or environmental engineering is preferred. Professional registration (i.e., P.E, P.G.) is also preferred.
