We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team at The LiRo Group. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Coordination: Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project on time.
- Quality Control: Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
- Construction Inspection: Provide construction inspection for multi-trade contracts to ensure the project is constructed in conformance with the contract requirements.
- Field Coordination: Assist the project manager with field coordination between the facility and trades.
- Change Order Management: Assist the project manager with the management of Field Orders and Change Orders.
- Third-Party Code Inspection: Coordinate Third-Party Code Inspection and Documentation.
- Team Communication: Communicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute their job duties effectively and efficiently.
- Safety and Compliance: Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location.
- Project Documentation: Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site.
- Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.
- Safety and Security: Oversee safety and security at project sites.
- Workmanship Standards: Ensure compliance with generally accepted standards of workmanship.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in construction involving multiple phases of large-scale building/rehabilitation projects.
- Superintendent Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience as a Superintendent or Inspector on large-scale, multi-contract building projects.
- Project Planning: Ability to develop/communicate a project work plan, monitor manpower and performance against that work plan, and be able to perform a detailed comparison of the design drawings against each other to ensure coordination between each of the various project trades.
- Elevator Experience: Elevator experience is required.
- Communication Skills: Strong communications skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors.
- Leadership Skills: Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Software Experience: Experience with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam preferred.
- Institutional Construction: Experience in Institutional Construction preferred.
