Join CentraCare Health as a Patient Access Assistant and contribute to the vital operations of our healthcare facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the registration process for patients, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage directly with patients to facilitate their registration.
2. Schedule appointments and relay information to relevant departments.
3. Verify patient insurance details to ensure accuracy.
4. Process complex documents, ensuring all information is complete and accurate.
5. Gather and confirm necessary information to create billable patient accounts.
6. Uphold patient safety standards and other safety protocols as required.
7. Apply comprehensive knowledge of facility procedures in daily tasks.

Work Schedule:

Full-Time | 72 hours bi-weekly
Monday - Friday (3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.)
Every other Weekend rotation | Holiday rotation

Compensation and Benefits:

Starting pay at $17.57 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong customer service skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities are necessary.
- One to two years of post-secondary training in clerical, secretarial, or business fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Prior experience in scheduling, billing, patient access, accounts receivable, or collections in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not required.
