This position contributes to Sun Tan City's success by leading a team to create and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience for our clients. The Salon Director is required to regularly exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the salon.
Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Develop and coach employees to provide exceptional client experiences, consistently setting a positive example and demonstrating a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
- Client Satisfaction: Follow up swiftly on client concerns and issues, displaying a client-centric attitude by holding team members accountable for quality client service.
- Operational Excellence: Drive company metrics by developing action plans, directly motivating and instructing the salon team by implementing company programs.
- Salon Management: Manage with integrity and honesty, promoting the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City, while planning, identifying, communicating, and delegating responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.
- Financial Management: Utilize financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in salon performance, regularly conducting performance assessments, providing feedback, and setting challenging goals to improve sales performance.
- Employee Development: Manage ongoing sales, prioritize and delegate tasks, and maintain a positive work environment.
- Education: College education preferred, but not required.
- Experience: Management and/or sales experience required, with basic computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices, strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills, strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment, ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes, ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
