About the Role

Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc. is seeking an ambitious Engineering Co-op to join our dynamic team in our fast-paced CNC machine shop. This position offers a unique opportunity for a first-time Co-op to gain hands-on experience and develop skills in manufacturing from inception to delivery.

  • The successful candidate will support Project, Programming, and Quality Engineers, interfacing with colleagues on a daily basis.
Responsibilities

This role involves a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Creating blueprints from customer-supplied model files.
  • Developing 3D model files for supporting outsource purchasing operations.
  • Collaborating with Toolcrib personnel to select and set up high-speed machining tools.
  • Maintaining electronic master file systems.
  • Supporting production quality documentation.
  • Monitoring emails and preparing documents for quoting.
  • Collecting Production Tracking forms and logging information into Excel.
  • Utilizing Inspection Manager Software to create bubbled drawings and QCRs.
  • Generating In-Process Inspection Reports coordinated by Quality Control and Floor Supervisors.
  • Working in Assembly to learn about Heli coil, dowel pin, and Pem installation.
  • Contributing to Quality Control to learn about inspection methods.
  • Updating and submitting Production and Engineering forms for review.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A solid understanding of mechanical fasteners.
  • Proficiency in computers and Microsoft products (Excel and Word).
  • Familiarity with installation tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to create concise visual instructions.
Education and Experience

You must be enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Engineering to apply for this position.

Compensation

Precise Tool & Manufacturing Inc. offers a competitive salary for this role, with an estimated hourly rate ranging from $19.00 to $22.00 based on experience and qualifications.
