Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Mission at Baytown, a 250-unit apartment community in Texas. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the general appearance and maintenance of the physical property, as well as leading and supervising maintenance staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and Direct Maintenance Staff
    • Provide guidance and support to site maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Monitor Property Conditions
    • Regularly inspect the property to identify any repairs or replacements that may be needed.
  • Complete Work Requests
    • Respond to and complete work requests for common areas and apartment units in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance
    • Carry out regular preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the property remains in good condition.
  • Assess and Repair Appliances
    • Diagnose and repair appliances as needed to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Prepare Vacant Units
    • Assist in preparing vacant units for new residents by completing any necessary repairs or maintenance tasks.
  • On-Call Duties
    • Be available to respond to maintenance requests outside of regular working hours as needed.
  • Safe Work Environment
    • Ensure a safe working environment for maintenance staff by identifying and addressing any potential hazards.

Qualifications

  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Advanced knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair.
    • HVAC and EPA experience preferred.
    • CPO certification preferred.
  • Education
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
