We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering skilled nursing care to patients with complex medical needs, including those with high acuity levels. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administration of medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop and implement plans to address these needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and industry developments.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • At least six months of experience in a clinical care setting, preferably in pediatrics or home health.
  • Ability to travel to patient homes and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
