POSITION OVERVIEW:
This role is an hourly position that reports directly to the Sanitation Supervisor. The individual in this position will assist and support the Sanitation Supervisor in managing activities related to food safety and sanitation protocols.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize cleaning agents and sanitizers to maintain cleanliness of equipment, surfaces, and facilities.
- Perform thorough cleaning of machinery and flooring.
- Adhere strictly to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and safety regulations.
- May be tasked with cleaning additional areas to uphold food safety and quality standards.
- Follow established sanitation procedures set by the company.
- Collaborate with staff from other departments to address sanitation and food safety concerns.
- Complete assigned duties within designated timeframes.
- Operate a forklift as required.
- Comply with Lock-out, Tag-out policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
ESSENTIAL:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures.
- Experience with Lock-out Tag-out protocols.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
PREFERRED:
- Strong attention to detail in work practices.
