Job Summary

In this role as an MRI Technician at Prisma Health, you will be responsible for performing MR scanning procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality imaging studies while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all MRI procedures proficiently and strive to maintain high-quality images.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Identify patients using two patient identifiers and collect relevant clinical history to ensure magnet safety.
  • Prepare scan rooms for procedures using approved cleaning protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Administer contrast materials as prescribed by a physician or according to approved Radiology protocol.

Requirements:

  • Certification as a Registered Technologist (RT) in Radiography and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • ARRT registration in Radiology and ARRT MRI registration within one year of hire, or ARMRIT certification.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in database management.
