Job Summary:

SmartStyle Hair Salon is seeking a talented and ambitious individual to join our team as a Stylist in Training. As a key member of our salon team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the world of beauty, while providing exceptional customer service and support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shadowing and Learning: You will have the opportunity to shadow experienced stylists and managers, learning the latest business strategies and cost control techniques.
• Customer Service: You will engage with customers at the front desk and over the phone, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
• Salon Maintenance: You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the salon, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe and healthy environment for clients and staff.

Qualifications:

• Education: You must be enrolled in a recognized cosmetology school and in the process of obtaining the necessary licenses to practice as a stylist.
• Interpersonal Skills: You must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced salon environment.
• Communication: You must have effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, team members, and management.
• Technical Skills: You must be proficient in using point-of-sale systems and entering data accurately.
• Availability: You must be available to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and Standing: You must be capable of lifting up to 25 lbs. for stocking and product handling, and comfortable standing for extended periods.
• Basic Literacy and Numeracy: You must have basic literacy and numeracy skills to perform tasks and duties.
• Attendance: You must be willing to attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.
