Job Summary:

As a skilled Painter 2 at AAR, you will be responsible for preparing and painting surfaces of aircraft parts using knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques. This role requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean, strip, sand, and apply chemical solutions to prepare and condition surfaces prior to painting

• Mask and cover surfaces not to be painted

• Maintain a safe and audit-ready work area

• Read, interpret, and apply shop planning, customer specifications, military specifications, and Quality guidelines

• Mix and thin primers or paint to specified color and consistency according to standard formulas or color charts

• Paint surfaces, applying specified amount of thickness of primer, protective, decorative, or finish coatings

• Regulate controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings

• Clean spraying equipment and brushes with solvent

• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with industry standards

Requirements:

• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office basics

• Military paint specifications

• Syteline to use Item Maintenance, SRO maintenance, and Incident Maintenance

• Ability to learn industry-related software

• Respiratory certification and ability to wear a face respirator

• Successful completion of Chromium Physical
