Position Overview:
This full-time role demands 1880 hours of annual support and is focused on providing systems engineering and architectural assistance to a cryptologic program. An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is a prerequisite.



Key Responsibilities:
As an Information Assurance Systems Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating and proposing potential network and security architectures for the foundational infrastructure utilized in the development, testing, and operational lifecycle of physical production.
  • Analyzing user requirements and high-level system architectures to formulate system requirement specifications.
  • Assisting in the creation of system and functional requirements, as well as deriving lower-level requirements from higher-level specifications.
  • Implementing fundamental information assurance mechanisms and security technologies.
  • Conducting systems engineering activities and contributing to the development of work products in accordance with ISO/IEC standards.
  • Creating system architecture and design documentation.
  • Formulating derived requirements for Information Assurance Services.


Required Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field or related discipline with at least 10 years of general systems engineering experience. Alternatively, a Master's degree or PhD with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma with 14 years of experience is acceptable.



Essential Skills:
Applicants should demonstrate:

  • Experience in coordinating development projects.
  • Ability to analyze design and implementation alternatives, including tradeoffs and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing functional, system, and non-functional requirements.
  • Familiarity with architecture frameworks such as DoDAF.
  • Capability to fulfill the full-time commitment of 1880 hours annually.
  • Possession of TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
