School Psychologist

Phaxis is seeking a dedicated and experienced School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to students in grades PreK-12.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct psychological assessments to identify students' academic, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), 504 Plans, and behavior intervention plans in collaboration with teachers and other staff.
- Provide individual and group counseling services for students experiencing emotional or behavioral difficulties.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to design interventions that promote students' learning and mental health.
- Participate in IEP, 504, and special education team meetings, offering recommendations based on psychological evaluations.
- Offer crisis intervention and mental health support as needed to students and staff.
- Monitor the progress of students receiving psychological services, adjusting plans as needed based on data and outcomes.
- Provide professional development and consultation to teachers and staff regarding mental health and behavioral management.
- Stay current with best practices in school psychology and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
- Promote a positive school environment that encourages social-emotional learning.
- Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Valid Maine School Psychologist certification or licensure.
- Experience working in a school setting, providing psychological services and interventions, is preferred.
- Strong skills in psychological evaluation, counseling, and consultation.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
