Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs of self.
- Attend educational programs based on identified learning needs.
- Use patient education materials relevant to the patient population.
- Assess readiness to learn and developmental level of the patient/family/caregivers.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance for revising care plans.
- Participate in interdisciplinary discussions to evaluate patient care.
- Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Demonstrate competence in care for patients with complex problems, considering physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
- Perform bedside point of care testing as required by the patient care plan.
- Utilize standards, policies, and procedures in care delivery.
- Prioritize care according to patient/family needs and consult appropriate resources for complex care issues.
- Develop goals for professional growth and participate in unit performance improvement activities.
- Promote cost-effective care and provide feedback to co-workers.
- Recognize data from complex situations to prioritize care, including physical, psychosocial, education, and safety needs.
- Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update care plans, using multidisciplinary resources.
- Address cultural and ethnic issues in care planning.
- Read journals containing studies or articles applicable to practice and bring ideas to the staff for assessment.
About Our Facility:
Our facility has a 21-bed ICU-capable Burn Center with state-of-the-art equipment, providing care to burn victims of all ages from critical care through the rehabilitation phase. The center undergoes a rigorous verification process to ensure the highest quality burn care. The patient ratio varies depending on the level of care.
