Job Summary

  • Product Handling: Move and weigh products from machines to staging and shipping areas, maintaining accurate records and adhering to quality control standards.
  • Inventory Management: Organize empty tubs and wire carriers into cargo boxes, ensuring proper storage and retrieval of materials.
  • Quality Control: Reads product processing forms or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials to be moved, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Equipment Operation: Operates industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading or moving materials and products, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Loading and Unloading: Loads and unloads materials on or from pallets, trays, racks, or carriers, ensuring secure and damage-free transportation.
  • Shipping and Receiving: Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, maintaining accurate records and adhering to shipping protocols.
  • Record Keeping: Counts, weighs, and records numbers of units of materials moved or handled on interplant forms and key-in pan tickets for production reporting, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Supply Chain Management: Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Labeling and Documentation: Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials and makes ID tags from information provided by suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
  • Purchase Order Preparation: Prepares purchase blanks for shipments by removing from containers and dumping parts into bins and attaching proper documents, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Lot Numbering and Record Keeping: Assigns lot numbers to raw materials and maintains required records, ensuring accurate and timely data entry.
  • Package Receipt and Delivery: Signs for packages and brings them to proper locations using scanners and alphanumeric codes, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Scrap Removal and Record Keeping: Removes scrap and records weight, maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Daily Maintenance: Performs daily preventative maintenance and documents findings, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling environment preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
