Physical Demands
This role necessitates alternating between sitting, standing, and walking. Candidates may need to lift, push, or carry items weighing up to 15 pounds. Available shifts are 12.5 hours long.
Available Shifts:
6:45 PM – 7:15 AM on weekends and Tuesdays.
New hires will receive cross-training for various registration areas within the Emergency Department.
On-call staff may have the potential to transition into full-time roles if desired. This position serves as an excellent entry point into the UKHC Emergency Department Registration team, offering numerous opportunities for growth.
Job Overview:
This position encompasses the following responsibilities:
- Welcoming and registering patients in the Emergency Department
- Collecting copays and payments at the time of service
- Providing exceptional customer service
High proficiency in keyboarding with a keen attention to detail. Ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations while delivering outstanding customer service. Effective prioritization of tasks is essential. Flexibility in scheduling is required.
Supervisory Responsibilities: No
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in patient registration is advantageous. A background in customer service roles such as retail, call centers, or hospitality is also beneficial.
