The School of Nursing at the University of Virginia is actively seeking qualified candidates for an open rank faculty position within the Adult-Gerontology Acute Care specialty (AGACNP, AGCNS-BC, or ACNP-BC). This role is designed for individuals with a passion for teaching and a commitment to excellence in nursing education.
This position emphasizes teaching responsibilities within our APRN program, while also providing opportunities to engage with students at various educational levels. In addition to teaching, faculty members will have the chance to participate in service, practice, scholarship, leadership, and other administrative roles related to student mentorship.
For candidates with relevant experience and interest, there may be an opportunity to assume a leadership position within the school's Partner Development and Engagement unit.
Working alongside some of the nation’s most esteemed nurse scholars, academics, and students, the successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing the next generation of nursing professionals. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to one of the leading nursing schools in the country, within a dynamic and engaging academic community. Compensation and rank will be determined based on education, experience, and scholarly contributions.

Qualifications:
- DNP or a comparable terminal degree in nursing or a related field by the appointment start date.
- A minimum of two years of prior experience in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care nursing.
- Unencumbered licensure as a nurse practitioner in Virginia by the appointment start date.
- Certification or eligibility for certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care nursing.
