Position Overview:
The Magnetic Resonance Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing and modifying MRI procedures to achieve precise diagnostic outcomes under the supervision of a radiologist.

Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an ARRT accredited MRI program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: (MR)(ARRT) or ARMRIT certification upon hire or within one year of employment; BLS certification within one year of employment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct MRI examinations with precision, adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Assess images for clarity and diagnostic quality.
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the imaging process.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in specimen collection techniques.
  • Maintain operational knowledge of MRI equipment and perform troubleshooting as necessary.
  • Assist the department with imaging tasks and patient care duties.
  • Facilitate patient flow and uphold safety standards for both patients and staff.
  • Support the training of fellow technologists and students in MRI techniques.
