Construction Worker/Flagging Specialist

As a Construction Worker/Flagging Specialist with Martin Construction Inc., you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks involving physical labor with heavy construction projects or flagging duties. This role requires the ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to a work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual labor in preparing surfaces, ditches, culverts, or other areas.
• Shovel dirt within construction areas as defined by grade fill specifications given by the foreman/operator.
• Maintain a clean job site, pick up all tools and equipment, and secure the job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
• Load and unload material manually, haul and hoist materials (pipe, box culverts, supplies).
• Perform flagging duties.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used in construction work.
• Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to a work schedule.
• Ability to lift heavy objects, walk, and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
• Can follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Responsible to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
