We are looking for a seasoned Agile Program Leader to spearhead and manage a pivotal program that encompasses multiple Agile teams, which may be distributed across various locations. In this capacity, you will be tasked with the strategic oversight, execution, and successful delivery of the program, ensuring alignment with overarching business goals, delivering significant value, and complying with stringent regulations within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with essential stakeholders, including product owners, scrum masters, executives, and development teams across diverse locations, to establish program objectives, vision, and strategic roadmap, all while adhering to financial services regulations.
  • Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among all Agile teams, overcoming geographical and cultural barriers, while addressing the specific requirements of the financial services industry.
  • Oversee dependencies and risks throughout the program, proactively identifying and addressing potential obstacles, while considering time zone differences and regulatory challenges.
  • Track program progress, monitor key performance indicators, and provide transparent reporting to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing Agile best practices, tailored to the needs of both local and distributed teams.
  • Ensure alignment and coordination among local and distributed Agile development teams.
  • Encourage a culture of innovation, teamwork, and high performance within program teams, even in a virtual environment, while navigating the risk-averse landscape of financial services.
  • Manage the program budget and resources, ensuring effective allocation and adherence to financial services industry budgeting constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Higher
  • 10+ years of overall experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile program or project management, with a proven track record in the financial services industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with distributed teams.
  • Experience participating in PI Planning events.
  • Proficient in Agile project management tools (Jira, Confluence, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex programs using Agile methodologies in a geographically dispersed environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), and practices, with the ability to adapt them to the financial services sector.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster trust and rapport across diverse cultures.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment, bridging time zone differences.

Certifications:

  • PMP
  • Agile certification - SAFe Certification is a plus
