Job Title: IR Tech

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) to join our team for an immediate travel opening in Brownsville, TX.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. IR Techs are also responsible for preparing and observing patients undergoing procedures and reporting abnormal activity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests
  • Assist in scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Monitor patients during procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection standards and techniques
  • Operate intravenous (I.V.) and dye injector pumps
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as an IR Tech
  • BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Vascular Interventional certificate preferred

IR Techs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. A sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology is essential.
