Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for assessing patients' respiratory needs, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and providing education to patients and their families. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' respiratory needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide respiratory therapy services, including oxygen therapy, aerosol therapy, and chest physiotherapy
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Conduct respiratory audits and track patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
  • Provide education to patients and their families on respiratory health and disease management
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans
Requirements:
  • Current RT license in New York State
  • Current CPR and ACLS certification
  • Experience in tracheotomy and long-term care settings
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a healthcare setting, with frequent exposure to patients with respiratory conditions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and provide high-quality patient care.

Pay Rate:

$40 - $50 hourly
