Position Overview:
The Respiratory Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering both direct and indirect patient care for individuals aged 18 and older, including seniors. Under the guidance of the Respiratory Therapy Manager and following physician directives, the therapist is tasked with the setup and operation of various respiratory care apparatuses essential for diagnosing and treating respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer physician-ordered treatments, which encompass Hand Held Nebulizer Therapy and a range of nasal oxygen devices to deliver medicinal vapors, gases, and humidity to patients.
- Provide various oxygen concentrations to support the respiratory system and conduct chest physical therapy as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must hold credentials from The National Board of Respiratory Care as either a CRT or RRT.
- Licensure to practice in Kentucky is required.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an acute care setting or critical care is preferred.
