Position Overview:

As a Sales Counter Representative, you will be the initial point of contact for our customers, embodying the essence of Airgas. Your role involves selling a variety of products including medical, industrial, and specialty gases, as well as welding equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers both in-person and over the phone, assisting them in identifying their product needs and locating the appropriate merchandise.
  • Complete and submit all necessary documentation accurately and promptly.
  • Document sales, quotes, and other relevant information efficiently.
  • Input sales and quote data into the computer system and conduct research for customer inquiries.
  • Process payments for products and services, ensuring accurate entry into the system.
  • Maintain responsibility for received payments and adhere to all administrative and accounting procedures.
  • Restock merchandise as required, ensuring an organized and appealing sales area.
  • Uphold showroom cleanliness in accordance with management guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as necessary to support the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in product sales, warehouse operations, or related fields is preferred.
  • Proficient in Google and/or MS Office applications.
  • Exceptional customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Commitment to safety programs and adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Experience in the gas, welding, and safety supply industry is advantageous.
