Job Description

At University Hospitals Urgent Care by Well, we are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing quality care and service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for X-Ray exams and perform diagnostic and/or therapeutic quality imaging procedures.
  • Operate modality specific and technical equipment related to patient care imaging, image processing, image transmission, image archiving, and computerized electronic medical records.
  • Review patient history and share observations with Providers.
  • Use critical thinking principles in making decisions while following company policies.
  • Minimize patients' exposure to radiation during X-Ray Imaging through shielding techniques and careful positioning.
  • Respond to patient and pharmacy phone consultations, documenting in EMR.
  • Manage patient appointments and offer medications accurately in house as prescribed by physician.
  • Collaborate with team on data and achieving length of stay goals for patient satisfaction and departmental goals.
  • Assist with administrative and registration functions, and audit records for accurate billing.

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of an American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) approved educational program.
  • ARRT credentials in Radiography (R).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use EMR, PACS, and basic computer programs.
