Bethel Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team for the evening shift. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our residents in the Long Term Care area.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have a strong background in geriatric nursing and be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to ensure the best possible outcomes for our residents.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan resident care, implementing interventions as needed to promote optimal health and well-being.
- Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive resident records, ensuring timely and effective communication with healthcare team members.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering residents to take an active role in their care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices that enhance resident outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN license.
- One year of experience in geriatric nursing, preferably in a long-term care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to make sound judgments and decisions in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
