Enterprise IAM Security Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise IAM Security Engineer to join our team at OpenAI. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless deployment and support of artificial general intelligence (AGI) for the benefit of all humanity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing user access and identities, automating processes for efficiency, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This requires a proactive approach to understand and meet the diverse needs of our team, helping to develop scalable IAM solutions that enhance user access without compromising security.
About the Job- You will manage identity access and configurations using Azure Active Directory (AzureAD), ensuring appropriate access control across all user accounts, including the implementation of birthright access for automatic provisioning based on role or department.
- Develop and implement access management policies and procedures, focusing on automation and efficiency to streamline user access to resources.
- Customize and optimize the provisioning and de-provisioning processes to meet diverse user requirements, maintaining a balance between accessibility and security.
- Collaborate closely with our enterprise security team to ensure that access controls align with the latest security standards and company policies.
- Lead initiatives to improve identity and access management practices through the adoption of advanced technologies and methodologies.
- Implement automated processes for user lifecycle management, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our onboarding and offboarding procedures.
- Deep technical expertise in Azure Active Directory and identity management systems.
- Advanced skills in scripting and automation, particularly in Python and PowerShell.
- Extensive experience with identity governance and administration platforms, particularly focusing on AzureAD.
- Expertise in deploying and managing access control mechanisms.
- Demonstrated capability in adopting and applying best practices in identity and access management.
- Experience in implementing streamlined and automated access solutions for a diverse workforce.
- Proficiency in designing and enforcing access policies and procedures.
