We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team at Glens Falls Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, optimizing patient care, and providing authoritative guidance to healthcare professionals and patients.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Interpret, review, and evaluate medication orders to ensure optimal dose, dosage form, frequency, concentration, duration, and potential interactions.
- Dispensing and Quality Control: Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring the right medication, dose, and dosage form are provided to patients.
- Process Improvement: Participate in process improvement teams to enhance patient care, streamline workflows, and improve financial viability.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy from a pharmacy program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Current, active license to practice pharmacy in New York State; or eligible to reciprocate licensure from another state. Pharmacy Registration in New York State.
- Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and language skills, ability to analyze and interpret medication orders, respond to emergent situations, and effectively communicate with staff, physicians, and patients. Ability to perform complex pharmaceutical calculations and solve clinical problems related to pharmaceutical care and drug therapy.
Glens Falls Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $48.99 to $73.48 per hour, commensurate with experience level, education, and certifications. We also provide valuable and competitive benefits offerings to our employees.
