  • Responsibilities

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing daily support to the unit leadership and responding appropriately and timely to resident and family needs within the LPN scope of practice
  • Using the nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care and make decisions promoting the safety and quality of direct care to residents
  • Performing and administering standard nursing treatments and/or medications and observing residents for desired or unwanted effects
  • Communicating and collaborating with appropriate members within the care team to revise and update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings, including lab/test results, incidents, and/or concerns
  • Monitoring and documenting vitals, treatments administered, and residents' responses
  • Preparing, organizing, overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating the delivery of care of resident CNA assignments and activities, considering the category of needs and competency of personnel

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing
  • Licensed and currently registered in good standing in New York as an LPN
  • Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care
  • Must possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health
  • Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and sometimes challenging residents
  • Have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills
  • Work well under pressure and willing to work harmoniously with all staff
  • Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but not mandated; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
