Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Test Automation Architect to lead the design and implementation of our test strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of software testing methodologies, solid Java expertise, and extensive hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium and Cucumber, along with performance testing using Gatling.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test Strategy and Architecture:
    • Define the overall test strategy, aligning it with project and business objectives.
    • Design and develop robust, scalable, maintainable, and reusable test automation frameworks.
    • Lead the selection and integration of testing tools and technologies, focusing on Selenium, Cucumber, and Gatling.
  • Automation Leadership:
    • Champion the adoption of test automation practices across development and QA teams.
    • Develop and maintain automated scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing.
    • Ensure test automation is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Test Design and Execution:
    • Work closely with development teams to ensure code is testable and aligned with automation goals.
    • Design and implement automated tests covering UI, API, and performance scenarios.
    • Analyze test results, track issues, and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Mentorship and Guidance:
    • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to QA engineers and test automation developers.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance team expertise on automation tools and best practices.
    • Lead code reviews and maintain high-quality automation code.
  • Performance Testing:
    • Implement performance testing strategies using Gatling to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance.
    • Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and work with developers to resolve them.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing approaches.
    • Effectively communicate test strategies, plans, and results to stakeholders.
    • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, offering QA insights.
