Job Summary
Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Specialist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of patients by performing analyses on blood and body fluids.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain sophisticated instrumentation to perform moderate and high complexity testing.
- Troubleshoot assays and evaluate test results for accuracy.
- Result test values in a timely manner and assist with interpreting results.
Qualifications
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT).
- Will accept MLT/CLT students graduating within six months.
- Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or equivalent is required within six months of employment.
