Job Summary

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of CT scan imaging procedures to diagnose medical conditions. This role requires operating the CT scan equipment to produce high-quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain consent and prepare patients for procedures
  • Explain the procedure to patients and ensure their comfort and safety
  • Collaborate with physicians and other imaging staff as needed
  • Practice aseptic and sterile technique for all procedures
  • Work within the CT Technologist scope of practice according to policy and procedures
  • Follow general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan department
  • Complete required documentation accurately and immediately after completing each case
Requirements
  • Current Florida License as Certified Radiologic Technologist
  • Current ARRT Certification
  • Current BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Technologist training program in an AMA-approved school
  • 2 years of experience preferred
  • CT registered or completed within 6 months
