DIMA Care, INC is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a busy Urgent Care/Family Practice setting.

This is a full-time opportunity with flexibility in scheduling (8 hour shifts, 10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts). The ideal candidate will have experience in a family practice setting/urgent care.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient health status, including state of wellness, and determining appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Providing acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, physicals, and monitoring therapies
  • Ordering laboratory and diagnostic procedures, interpreting data, and integrating it into a preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan
  • Triage patient calls, evaluating problems, educating patients and families as needed, and recommending community resources
  • Collaborating with physicians to manage acute and long-term medical needs of patients
  • Providing continuity of care between physician visits

The qualified candidate must possess a graduate degree from an approved nurse practitioner program and hold a current GA APRN license. Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional stress from dealing with multiple tasks and tense patients.

Preferred skills include:

  • Gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, and emotional patient data
  • Evaluating and revising care plans based on patient changes
  • Applying and modifying professional nursing principles, methods, and techniques to provide ongoing patient care
  • Communicating clearly and establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, referring providers, and the public
  • Making responsible decisions within the scope of the practice outlined by state guidelines

The work environment is in a medical office and exam room setting with frequent exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions. Self-motivated individuals able to multitask in a fast-paced environment are preferred.

We offer a competitive salary estimated at $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
