Job Title: Lego Robotics After School Instructor

Smith College is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lego Robotics After School Instructor to lead our elementary students in a fun and engaging robotics program.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic instructor to teach our elementary students the basics of robotics and programming using Lego bricks. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a group setting and be able to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Lego robotics challenges for students in grades 4-6
  • Facilitate students as they build and program their robots
  • Provide guidance and support to students as they work on their projects
  • Supervise and manage students during program activities
  • Collaborate with program facilitators to ensure smooth program operations

Requirements:

  • Experience leading elementary students in a group setting
  • Associate's degree in education or related field or prior experience teaching specialty area to elementary aged students
  • Experience working with children in group settings

Program Schedule:

2 or 4 days a week, 2:30 - 5:00 pm

Pay Range:

$17 - $22 per hour depending on education and experience
