Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Saint Alphonsus Health System. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing general and emergency respiratory therapy procedures to patients as directed by physicians and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory assessment, airway and ventilator management, bi-level non-invasive ventilation management, pulmonary diagnostics, and delivery of medicated aerosols.
  • Assess changes in patient clinical condition, make independent judgments, and modify care as necessary according to departmental policies and approved physician protocols.
  • Routinely make rounds with physicians in critical care units and act as a preceptor to support and develop new and existing staff members.
  • Perform arterial line insertions, ABG sticks, conduct ABG analysis, and interpret results.
  • Complete all mandatory-training requirements on time and assist the department manager with Performance Improvement projects.
Requirements
  • License to practice respiratory care in the state of Idaho or Oregon.
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
