Position Title: Imaging Support Assistant

This position assists Imaging Technologists by preparing patients and examination areas prior to, during, and following imaging procedures. Key responsibilities include:

  • Transporting patients to and from imaging rooms
  • Performing administrative duties
  • Assisting with PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) management
  • Escorting patients, families, and visitors as required
  • Utilizing radiology information systems for various tasks
  • Preparing patients for imaging examinations
  • Providing essential instructions to patients
  • Organizing and maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms
  • Welcoming patients and visitors
  • Serving as a liaison among ordering physicians, radiologists, and technologists
  • Providing access to radiology reports and images upon request
  • Conducting routine maintenance on imaging equipment
  • Screening and documenting MRI-related implants

Scheduled Work Hours: Sunday-Thursday (Currently no weekends or holidays)

Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months of hire

Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements: No prior experience necessary

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in IV insertion and venipuncture
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
  • Intermediate proficiency in computer applications
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively both independently and collaboratively
